What we do

House Hunt Machakos lists houses that are available to rent in and around Machakos Town, and helps people find and visit them. We are not the landlord and we are not a party to your tenancy agreement.

Accuracy

We check availability, rent and location with the landlord or caretaker before we list, and we show the date we last checked. Things change quickly, so always confirm the details at the house before you pay anything.

Fees

Browsing is free. Fees for unlocking an exact location, being shown around, or a full house-hunting service are shown before you pay and are set out on the how it works page. Fees paid for a service already delivered are not refundable, but if we got something wrong, tell us and we will put it right.

Rent and deposits

We never collect rent or deposits for a landlord. Pay those directly to the landlord or caretaker, after you have seen the house and agreed terms. If anyone claiming to be from House Hunt Machakos asks you for a deposit, do not pay — contact us immediately.

Using the site properly

Do not scrape the listings, copy them onto other sites, or use the platform to advertise houses you do not have the right to let. Accounts and access can be withdrawn for misuse.

Reviews

Feedback is checked before it is published. We remove anything abusive, dishonest or posted to damage a competitor.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya.
